Background: Based on 1997 changes to Minnesota Statutes, all counties are required to pass ordinances regulating Individual Sewage Treatment Systems countywide. These ordinances were required to be in compliance by Jan. 1, 1999. All counties that have enacted countywide ordinances are eligible to receive this grant. The base grant amount for the program is $1,500 and does not require a one to one match.
