Minnesota Envirothon
The 2006 Minnesota State Envirothon was held
Wednesday, May 17, at Lake Bronson State Park.
Who won?
First place went to a team from Rushford-Peterson. Students
representing Rushford-Peterson include: seniors Adam Norton, Matt
Halverson, Jon O'Donnell, Charlie Foxx; and junior, Justin Brown.
Advisor is Jordan Donnerbauer. Total score was 90.33.
Second place went to a team from Benilde-St.
Margaret’s (St. Louis Park), with a score of 85.67. Teams members
include: Erica Eiden, Jennifer Brown, Katie Byers-Ferrian, Alex
Cutchey, and Harry Niedermaier. Advisors are Patty and Keith Leiseth.
Third place went to a team from Eastview High
School (Apple Valley), with a score of 85. Team members include:
Beth Weidenhaft, Brandon Boxler, Devin Tunseth, Alex Jaffe, and
Brenna Callinan. Advisor is Jane Porterfield.
Martin County West team took first place in the
oral presentation.
Who participated? At the State event,
157 students (including alternates) were involved. Following were

When is the Canon Envirothon? The Rushford-Peterson team will
represent Minnesota in the Canon Envirothon, hosted at the
University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, July 23-29.

local Soil and Water Conservation District office. There’s a link to

local Envirothon coordinator.
