Video: Installing Engineering Tools (BWSR, Jul 2018) Time: 3:32; This video is a quick demonstration of where to find, download, and how to install the NRCS-Engineering Tools toolbox into ArcMap. The Tools version shown is 1.1.14

Video: Watershed Tools Demo (BWSR, Jul 2018) Time: 21:46; This video is a demonstration of each step of a watershed delineation and RCN determination for a potential waterway project. The demo shows the steps in ArcMap 10.5.1 using the NRCS Engineering Tools toolbox.

Video:  Watershed Tools Overview (BWSR, Jul 2018)
Time: 21:52; This webinar is a recorded PowerPoint showing the NRCS Engineering Tools-Watershed Tools and other Tools in ArcMap. The first ~19 minutes covers the steps to delineate a watershed and determine a composite RCN.  At 19:39, other useful tools in the Toolboxes are explained.

Reading: Hydrology Training Series (NRCS website)

Time: will vary; Modules 101-116 recommended for a basic understanding of hydrology and the applications of hydrology in designing conservation practices.

Reading:  EFH2 User’s Manual (NRCS website)

Time: will vary;  The EFH-2, version 1.1.2 (August 6, 2014) software implements the procedures described in the NEH 650 - Engineering Field Handbook Chapter 2 (EFH-2) for estimating runoff and peak discharge.  Required information includes watershed characteristics (drainage area, runoff curve number, watershed length, watershed slope) and rainfall amount and rainfall distribution.

This program has restricted applications.  May be applied when:

The EFH2 tool is also available for download on the page link above.
